Kathina Day, Korat, Thailand

Sharing a day spent in Korat with Archan Nick and his devotees from Singapore and Malaysia. A visit was made to Wat Donsawan in Korat which also belongs to Phrakhru Panya Sutthaporn of Wat Kerwan in Maha Sarakham.

Many local devotees were in awe when Archan Nick had the honour to lead and start off the chanting ceremony. They were impressed that a non-Thai can chant so well and some refused to believe that Archan Nick was a foreigner! After which, Archan Nick also represented the masses in offering the robes to the monks.

Kathina Day is a day where people offer monk robes to the monks after they complete their 3 months of rain retreat. It is an event that is carried out in all Thai temples annually and is a very meritorious activity for all devotees.

Besides joining in Kathina Day at Wat Donsawan, Korat, we also managed to participate in the Kathina Day at Wat Kerwan, Maha Sarakham, the main temple of Phrakhru Panya Sutthaporn. On behalf of Phrakhru Panya Sutthaporn, Samnak Barami would like to thank all devotees for your kind donations and contributions in this year's Kathina Event at his two temples. We hope to see more devotees join us for our trip next year and may everyone be blessed!

This trip also saw Samnak Barami visiting temples of many top gurus in Northern Thailand and photos of these visits will be posted up soon, so do stay tuned!

Black Wood Palakit (1st Batch Palakit)

Master: Archan Nick
Temple: Samnak Barami
Year: 2557

Description: After sourcing for the right type of wood, these hard and dense black wood are individually hand carved into palakits. Only 9 were made as these kind of wood are very hard to look for. Also, the density and hardness of the wood makes it extremely difficult to carve into these palakits. Archan Nick blessed these palakits for many days before further adding yants by engraving to give it extra power. Another few rounds of chanting was done before it was ready for devotees to bring it home. Every piece comes with a serial number from 1 to 9.

Purpose: These palakits are made mainly for wealth attraction and also Metta Mahaniyom.

As these 9 palakits were very quickly snapped up by hardcore fans of Archan Nick, do stay tuned for the 2nd Batch of palakits that Archan Nick will be making in the near future for all to rent!
